Winnie was the Bingo Queen at the Mansion Friday Night, she won three games in a row. She loves the new duck whistle, she said it sounds like a bird who has had too much wine.

New Bingo Whistle: The Mansion
Sometimes it’s the little things. At the end of each bingo game, we ask the players to read aloud their winning numbers, so we can check them against the ones marked on the board. Sometimes, the residents get a bit carried away, they can get intensely competitive.
To keep the games from getting monotonous I bought a duck bath whistle for kids. I surprised everybody by starting a new custom: I fill the duck with water and blow the whistle once their victories are assured.
They were shocked and delighted, this has already become a beloved tradition. With some water inside, the bird can make some life-life bird noises. It cracks everybody up.
I’m bringing the duck whistle every Friday.
The Spirit Of A Dog
I love Bud’s spirit. He shows me that you can horribly mistreat a dog, but that doesn’t necessarily break their spirit. Bud’s spirit is strong, it was much bigger than the heartless man who left him outside in an uncovered pen for nearly two years, and did nothing as his penmates died.
I think it takes a lot to break a dog’s spirit and I wonder if the spirit of a dog doesn’t heal more quickly than a human beings.
The Podcast: It’s A Go
We had a meeting this morning with Mannix Marketing and a podcast specialist, he said Bedlam Farm is a perfect fit for podcasting, we had a large and committed audience, two successful blogs and two people with lots to say.
Mannix is going to set this up for us, we’re using zoom.com a hot recording and podcasting site. Maria and I will do a test podcast in the next few days. I don’t need any new equipment.
She and I will record the weekly 20-minute podcasts together. At first, there will be no calls.
Eventually, I see myself making this transition from the radio broadcast to the podcast, I am learning a lot about broadcasting from “Talking To Animals,” but the station’s resources and equipment are severely limited. One day I expect that opportunity will end, although I’m certainly loving it now.
I’ve wanted to do a podcast from Bedlam Farm for years. I might accept some ads on the podcast, it will be free. More to come.
I thinking sometime in April. I’ll be on “Talking To Animals” this coming Wednesday from one p.m. to 2:30. WBTNAM1379. Thanks.
New Glasses. Time For A Change
Sometimes, when I look in the mirror every morning, I get sick of myself. I decided to get some new glasses, I like the gold wire-rims, they have a kind of light, timeless look that I like.
And I took my first selfie, I never saw the point before. I like the glasses, I think they’re me.
