THanks for the good photo of a red bellied woodpecker Jon. I have them coming to my bird feeder and I wondered why they called it redbellied as I could see no red on their bellies…but you have a picture of their tummies..apparently the red headed woodpeker name was taken. That ‘s why they called this red bellied…still it’s a bit of a stretch to see any red belly. Sandy Proudfoot Canada
