For The First Time Ever, Diapers Are Stocked! Sarah. “We Couldn’t Do it Without You.” Today’s Request, Pizza Crust, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Urgent Request: Efferent. Thank You And Bless You.

by Jon Katz

For the first time, and thanks to the Army Of Good, the Cambridge Pantry won’t run out of baby diapers for at least three weeks (it will run out them, alas.) The pantry is contracting to build a new storage booth in the back of the building.

Diapers are stocked for now!” says Sarah. “We go through them fast, but we couldn’t do it without you! Blessed by the Army of Good.”

We have been fighting for enough donations so that at least some items can be stored rather than disappear in a day. You are making history, and better yet, lifting the lives of the people who have come to the food pantry when there is nowhere else to go.

Thank you! They have never been able to stockpile food before. The new members desperately miss all of these foods. They are grateful.

The diaper shelves were empty. Sarah says there are now three or four weeks’ supply, which is the first time there have ever been stocks. You did that.

Sarah asks help getting these two main cold-weather items onto the pantry shelves. The cold weather has been going on for days.

Campbell’s Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup, 10.75 Ounce Can (Pack of 8, $7.96.

Jiffy Pizza Crust Mix 6.5 (12 Pack)m $29,99.

Sarah’s Urgent Choice Today, Monday, February 18.

Urgent Choice Today: Plealse helps older people clean their mouths and dentures.

A couple of months ago, we realized that many older adults who come to the mansion have given up on retail cleaning and are spending all their money on food.

We have changed that. Denture cleaning tablets have returned to the pantry, and none too soon for older people. They don’t need to be in public or with visitors any longer.

Efferdent Retainer Cleaning RTablets, Denture Cleanser Tablets for Dental Appliances, Fresh & Clean, Minty Fresh, 90 tablets, $4.12.

The diapers came in truckloads. The Pantry women’s hygiene shelves are full.

If you’d like to browse the Pantry Amazon Food Wish List, you can do so anytime by clicking the links or the green button at the bottom of every blog post. Thanks.  You’ve made a stunning and much-appreciated difference; we can’t thank you enough.

It does feel good to do good. If you’re feeling low, give it a shot, and thanks. This is a Sanctuary Blog; all we do is good.

Thanks for sending wonderful messages to the pantry staff. They are very much appreciated. Here are a couple of days’ worth.

While I was at the pantry today, an Amazon truck arrived with big boxes from the Army of Good. I wish you’d seen the faces of the volunteers,
