The Gods Were On My Side Today: The New (Used) SLR Mirrorless Leica Camera Is Here. So Are A Bunch Of Yellow Callas

by Jon Katz

Bless the team from the Boston Leica Store; they found a new camera (used Camera, same model), tested it, cleaned it up, and overnighted it at Bedlam Farm. It came around 4:30, and I suddenly had an itch to see Sue at the Cambridge Flower Shop on the eve of a hectic evening Valentine’s Day. Sue had five different drivers out all day. When I came in, I knew right away that she had gotten hold of a bunch of new CallaLillis for me.

(New camera above.)

I saw the beautiful Yellow Callas still on the counter; they had just arrived. I sensed something for me; Sue is convinced I’m a psychic. The yellow callows were gorgeous, and I rushed him to christen the new camera before the sun went down. I may be a bit of a psychic; I just wanted to go to her store, which is a massive hit in our town and the area around it.

Flower art on schedule. I am thrilled to have a Leica lens back working with me. I missed it sorely; it is the mirror image of the damaged one and is in excellent shape. The Leica men and women have taught and tutored me and held my Dyslexic hand. I am grateful to them. I was only without the camera for days; I loved trying it out on the new Callas. I’m glad I got a new picture of them on the porch. We expect 10 inches or more tomorrow if the weather people are to believe (get up early, Yentas, there will be mistakes all over the country).
