The forecast was finally dead on. It snowed from 7 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m., about ten inches this morning.
It took Maria and me over an hour to remove a foot of snow from our cars. I need mine tomorrow, and we plan to go south to collect Maria’s wool. As you can see, it was beautiful, but I’m a bit worn out. I’ve never shoveled more snow than that off of a car. I’ve got some photos to get up, and then lunch: hot tea and some rest. Zip, as usual, walked back and forth in the snow and played tag with Zinnia. Mike came and plowed the driveway. We aren’t going anywhere today. I took some photos of the white Hen. Up next. Then the Cambridge Pantry. Needless to say, I love taking pictures of the Winter Pasture. More to come.
Zip walked through the piles of snow, and they weren’t even there. Nothing seems to stump this cat.
St. Joe was happy to see the sun around 10 a.m. The skies are always beautiful after storms; nature wants us to feel good sometimes.
Enjoyed the photos. Especially love the photo of Zip in the foreground and the house and landscape behind him covered in a blanket of snow. Sure captures a feeling.!
Thanks, Kay. I couldn’t believe he was rushing around in 10 feet of snow..It took us an hour to clear the cars..
I’ll bet it FELT like ten ! Lol
It was 12, according to the weather station…All I know is that it was cold and I’m tired…see you wed a.m.
Jon, you did NOT get 10 feet of snow. Are you crazy? Do you know what 10 feet of snow is? You possibly have 10 inches. Don’t you realize that people in the comments are laughing at you?
Take a deep breath Peter they call it too much shoveling at 77. You’ll be okay. It was a typo fixed.
Beautiful collection of photos!
Hello Peter Rao.
For the record, I seriously doubt that any of us were laughing at Jon for mentioning “10 feet” of snow. This community doesn’t think that way. We understand that there’s always at lot going on at the farm, and when Jon tries to get his thoughts into words quickly, sometimes mistakes happen (for whatever reason). I chuckled at the idea of 10 feet of snow because sometimes it feels like 10 feet when you have to shovel it away.
The question many of us would have is not whether Jon meant 10 feet or 10 inches, but rather why you felt the need to make a point of it with rude words and a condescending demeanor.
Thanks, Athena. I’m afraid you won’t get a response to your kind message. People like this are not readers or followers of the blog or my work and never stand up for their cruelty and hostility. They go from one place to another. I posted it only because I wanted to explain why these typos occurred. I don’t usually waste my time on this, and I hope you don’t either. You sound too lovely, and thanks..
