Pantry Support. Comfort Breakfasts In The Cold (-7 This Morning), Tea And Coffee (And More Diapers)

by Jon Katz

We came through again yesterday, thanks to when the pantry ran out of diaper 4s. Today’s urgent issue is diapers; the pantry families need more.

(Urgent item of the day: Thanks for sending Diapers yesterday; we got what we needed.  We need more. Due to the cold and the crowds, there is a severe diaper problem. We need newborn diapers. Please help if you can. Huggies Size Newborn Diapers, Skin Essentials Baby Diapers, Size Newborn 96-9 lbs, 31 Count, $9.94.)

As you might imagine, coffee and tea are precious in this weather. Those are Sarah’s choices for support this morning, Wednesday, February 5.

Some Research: AI Overview says tea is a healthy drink, especially in the morning and cold weather. Depending on the type of tea and individual sensitivity, it can provide a gentle energy boost from caffeine, offer antioxidants, and potentially aid digestion when consumed with breakfast.
If the news is upsetting, you can skip it and browse the Cambridge Pantry Amazon Food Wish List instead. Doing good feels a lot better than hating people.

Sarah’s item picks for today:

Seattle’s Best Cofee Post Alley Blend Dark Roast Ground Coffee, 12 Ounce Bags (Pack of 3), $17.91.

Bigelow Tea Caffeine Free 6 Flavor Herbal Tea Variety Pack, Decaf Tea with Mint Medley, Cozy Chamomile, Orange and Spice, Sweet Dreams, Perfect Peach and Lemon Ginger (Pack of 6) 118 Total Tea Bags. ($22.80.

Please consider sending a message of support to the volunteers of the Cambridge Food Pantry. Your messages are rolling in, and believe me, they make a difference. The volunteers work quietly and without compensation, which shows them that people know what they are doing.

    1. Sarah, you need a new website to read. Please return when you have some manners. I like the term. Do you want a refund? Is this what you took from my post? Really? So far this month, I’ve had one Yenta count my thermometer readings and another count my words. I should be flattered. And I’m not even famous.
