Sarah has been cracking the whip for weeks, preparing her members for the holidays, cleaning up, eating healthy foods,  and freshening up. Now, she pauses the health campaign for a day to have some fun: muffin mix and pizza crust mix. It’s time for a morale boost as another challenging year begins for people struggling to pay for what it costs to eat well in America.

No child should be hungry in America. Millions are, according to Food America. We are helping.

Sarah is a genius at presenting the most balanced needs and food in a balanced, constantly adjusted way. She listens carefully to the people who come to the pantry looking for help and offers them free hygiene, practical and urgent items, and food help.  We can help lighten a dark time for people caught in a challenging and sometimes unforgiving situation.

These people need more help than ever. Food prices remain high, and jobs and good pay are scarce in rural areas.

According to Hungry Free America.com, the estimate of the number of people who received charitable food assistance in 2022 (49 million) is lower than that for 2020 (60 million) and 2021 (53 million). Still, it is higher than that for 2019 (40 million).
