Flower Art, Thursday, January 2, 2025. Five Minutes In The Sun With Zip And My Leica, Two Great Partners

by Jon Katz

The sun only came out for a few minutes; I rushed out with my camera, flowers, and a towel to keep the sun off. I had to go to Vermont to see a chiropractor about some pain in my side. She fixed it right away. She thinks I might have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome; I have had a lot of pain in my right hand, and I might need to have it tested. It’s about time I’ve been typing or writing for at least 55 years.

I will try some infra-ed straps on my hands, and if it comes down to it, there is surgery available, which is pretty simple. In my journalism career, I saw hundreds, not thousands, of people get CTS. I’m lucky to have waited this long. I tried to duck the pain, but nothing would stop me from writing or taking pictures.

I came home to see another massive load of food from the Army of Goods at the Food Pantry. I love those people.

Enough for one day, see you in the morning.

My associate was waiting for me to come out in the sun and get to work with my camera.

  1. Hi Jon, As in infra-red therapy, homeopathic therapy for carpal tunnel syndrome is a lesser known but potentially very effective route. Maybe there’s a trained homeopathic therapist in your area that can be personally consulted? Sometimes homeopathic therapy is very quick and hugely relieving. I love the relief!

  2. Zip has the most expressive eyes. Some days completely carefree, some days like this photo they are dead serious. You can see the contentment on his face, livin his best life. You can see the happiness in his expressions.

Not sure what he is planning, but, I would be concerned about his next move and please warn the chipmunks I think he may be laying out the days plan. 😼
