Sarah and I felt great about the weekend. Thanks again so much, Army Of Good. In two days, we were 80 percent past our third Wish List, and Sarah and I decided not to be greedy but grateful. We added more items and called it quits.
You give meaning to life.
I’m posting the final two issues on the last list—Raisin Bran and Life Cereal—and taking tomorrow off.
Sarah says the Pantry will not be open this Wednesday, and if we receive too many more orders, there will be no place to put them. Truckloads are coming from you; I’ll try to get a photo or two. Everything you send will be used and needed.
It was a glorious, affirming weekend, and I am grateful and relieved. So is Sarah and the Pantry community.
I can’t thank you enough. You keep hope, faith, and love alive in a sometimes harsh world. What you did means a lot to many people in need. You are the special ones, the ones who always come. I’m worn out, and I suspect many of you are.
In Judaism, you would be called “Taddisks,” the Righteous Ones. You never tire of doing good.
One of the many things I like and respect about Sarah is that she can’t bear to keep the Wish List empty for a minute when it’s sold out. That is dedication, and it inspires me to work hard. She is incapable of slapping herself on the back. I’m happy to do it on her behalf. Feel free to send her notes of appreciation.
Here are the last two items for this blockbusting weekend. Sarah will have more items on Tuesday morning; you can rely on that. So can I:
Post Raisin Bran, Whole Grain Wheat & Bran Breakfast Cereal, Kosher, 16.6 Ounce, $3,65.
Life Breakfast Cereal, Cinnamon, 13 Oz Boxes (3 Pack)., $8.62,
Thanks so much. The Amazon Pantry Food Wish List will be accessible day and night. You can access it with links here or by clicking the green button at the bottom of any blog post on my site.
