“Veg-All.” The Best Thanksgiving Gift We Can Give To Children And Families In Need. The Day To Be Greatful, Please Come Along And Do Some Good

by Jon Katz

Today, your potential donation can significantly impact the lives of children and families in need. Veg-All, a highly praised canned food, is a rare and valuable item for our pantry shelves.

Your support would be a nutritious game-changer, especially when attention and resources may be diverted elsewhere. It is also a chance to make a powerful statement about our concern for the hungry. This is very difficult for the pantry to get; when it’s gone, it might be impossible to get it again, especially at a lower price. Very few items available in the food pantry have as many vitamins.

Government support for food pantries has declined radically after the Pandemic, and everybody assumes people will have better things to do today than purchase one of the most highly regarded vegetable items –  a food called “Veg-All” that Sarah somehow got onto the Cambridge Food Pantry Wish List.

(Some of the pantry shelves are empty above, which is a rare sight. No one will starve, but it’s becoming more challenging to find foods like “Veg-All.” Seeing it is rare at any food pantry is an excellent gift to worried parents.)

This matters. I hope you can help.

Sarah doubted many people would see it if I posted it today, but she said she would love to get it on her shelves. So would I. We may not see it again. I have a good feeling about it.

Sarah’s worries are well founded – donations have been meager this week, as is always the case on a holiday like Thanksgiving – but it feels like the perfect time to me, and I believe enough people will respond to make a difference.

This is the holiday of gratitude. What better way to get this food to the children who need it?

Veg-All is a healthy blend of vegetables for those who have not heard of it. Veg-All Mixed Vegetables blends seven different vegetables, a great way to save time and add valuable nutrients to your children’s meals. It’s been impossible for the food pantry to get.
Read what the food critic site “Recipe Lion” says about Veg-All:
“Recipe Lion: “I use canned vegetables in my cooking nearly every day because I love how easy and convenient they are.  But in all my years of cooking, I had never tried the veggies from Veg-All before, and I have no idea why!  After sampling the original mixed vegetables from Veg-All, I’m confident these are my favorite canned vegetables.  The flavor blew me away, and I could hardly believe these were vegetables from a can!  I have no idea how Veg-All gets all that fresh flavor into a can of vegetables, but whatever they’re doing is working!  If you’ve been on the hunt for canned vegetables that taste just as great as fresh ones, try out the products from Veg-All.  I, for one, am a new fan!”
Hopefully, children would feel the same way.

Thanks for your holiday support. We are paying attention. If you would like to browse the Cambridge Pantry Amazon Food Wish List, as many of you are doing, you can do so anytime.

You can click any link or the green button at the bottom of every blog post. The wish list items are urgently needed; the list is updated repeatedly throughout the day. Thanks.

A second food critic:  “It’s a common misconception that fresh veggies are always the healthiest option. But the truth is, the nutritional value of a vegetable is kept the same during the canning or freezing process. This means that canned or frozen veggies, like those from Veg-All, are just as healthy as fresh ones. So you can feel confident that you’re making a nutritious choice for your family.”

  1. we seem to be overtaxing the Amazon system; it’s now telling me that Veg-All can’t be ordered for a wish list. However, I discovered that it’s readily available online from WalMart. Maybe the Food Pantry could create wish lists at vendors in addition to Amazon?

    1. Yes we know Sarah is talking to wal Mart the Amazon offering might have been sold out thank for trying we’re working on it moth buy a fixed amount Wal Mart also. Sounds like we may have sold them out. I am not involved in their arrangements.
