Pardon a cough or two; I’m getting over a cold and had the urge to meditate this morning out in the pasture, where our days begin. I don’t believe in totally scrubbing a video. I want people to see my life as it is, and this week, I had a rough cold.

I sat in silence while the animals ate – we never eat until every animal on the farm is fed, and let the video run another 20 minutes. It was a beautiful experience; the animals trust Maria and me and will eat very close to us. This morning, in my meditation, I thought about learning. When I first learned about awakening, the teachings seemed very new.

According to the prophets, we already have the seed of awakening with us. Teachers can help us touch that seed and help it grow. But it’s there; it took me most of my life to understand it.
