“We all can walk in the Kingdom of God…You have all you need – legs, lungs, eyes, and mind – and with patience and practice, you can generate the energy of mindfulness within you, just like lighting a lamp. Once you have become truly alive, take a step, and you will enter the Kingdom of God.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
“So come to the pond, the river of your imagination, or the harbor of your longing, and put your lips to the world.
And live,
your life.”
-Mary Oliver, Mornings At Blackwater.
It was all about women; it took the pundits so long to see it.
I walked in the Kingdom of God some years ago, or so it felt. I haven’t dared to try it again for fear it was not true or accurate.
I look forward to seeing you all in the morning. I have a good feeling about it. I felt this conflict would end up being about women, and this is precisely what is happening, whatever polls and politicians say. That is the historic thing: women finally walk into their own light and live their lives. Mary Oliver saw it coming. Things are changing.
Guts of a flower.
Speaking out.
