Twenty-Twenty, My New Eye Lenses Work Perfectly. Great News, And I Have A New Eye Doctor

by Jon Katz

My eyesight is now 20-20, something of a miracle. I have a new eye doctor, opthomalogist Dr. Solomon. I will be wearing over-the-country bifocal glasses for reading and seeding things close-up. Fine by me. They cost $24 and I got them online. No more expensive eyeglasses for me.

It will be good to have an eye doctor who is also a surgeon, as Dr. Daly was and is for my foot. My eyes were dilated and not yet back to normal, so I’m not sure if I can take fresh flower photos or notes. I did want to put up the early morning photos in the rain. The big nature lens went out of focus, but I loved it.

Light in my garden bed.

Sheep and fate in the rain. Ghostly.

Fate, running in the rain.

In the rain, out of focus…I loved it. Maria shoveling.

We have one cord of firewood left; Maria is waiting for her back to heel from her car crash.

Raised bed in the rain – we needed it.

The first pic – Light in my Garden Bed – looks extraordinary. I don’t know why, can’t point to anything that makes it different from many others. It’s just fantastic.
