If I were to describe the most common and popular meal of the Pantry families, it would be soup and salad; it’s also one of the least expensive dinners and among the easiest to service.

Most people coming to the pantry are single-parent mothers with one or two jobs; they have little time to shop or cook. Soup And Salad Day is meant to ease their lives.

Your support is a lifeline for these hard-pressed and often desperate women, helping them make the most challenging choices – food or laundry detergent.

As I visited the food pantry early this morning, I was overwhelmed by the sight of the many boxes of goods you donated being transferred to the shelves. I captured these moments in photos, which I will share shortly this afternoon. The volunteers were eager for me to convey their heartfelt thanks to all of you and to remind you of the significant impact of your donations. This morning, all the shelves were full, thanks to you.

Your generosity is truly a fantastic thing. We are deeply grateful for your support and send our blessings to all of you.

Every item on the wish list is crucial, often because the pantry has run out and cannot get more. Sarah diligently checks the Amazon receipts as they come in. When she takes an item off the list, she has enough to fill her shelf space with it.
