One of the Cambridge Pantry’s food servings came at 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Sarah was sweating it. The New York Food Bank left many requested items off the truck that brings them to the pantry every week, so Sarah faced some empty shells.
At 1:30, the first Amazon truck of the day turned up. Sarah and her staff rushed to unpack, register, and examine it. She was delighted.
The delivery brought Sarah’s requests for our group over the weekend: corn, carrots, beets, peaches, spaghetti, and ravioli.
Thanks so much. As long as we are having this chat, I could put up a modesty-priced thing the Pantry children will need: a disposable lunch bag. This is something the kids need and can use all during the school year. It is something few families choose to buy instead of food.:
Thanks for coming to the rescue again, and bless you. You angels come to herp the people no one else wants to help.
