Maria’s “Not Going Back” Quilt. Just About Finished

by Jon Katz

Maria has just about finished her “Not Going Back” quilt; I think it’s beautiful, and I am, as usual, quite proud of her. This one is special.

She will sell it and set a price when she’s ready. You can e-mail her at [email protected] if you want.

The quilt is partly a collection of vintage Victorian napkins and artwork that work beautifully in this context. The term has become essential to millions of women. Every part of the quilt contains the working “Not Going Back.”

That’s all I should say about it; it speaks for itself, and she speaks eloquently for it.

She has worked hard on it every day for weeks.

In the video, she speaks about why and how she made the quilt, which she said was inspired by personal events. You can also follow her work on the quilt on her blog, fullmoonfiberart.com.

  1. It is a beautiful creation and representation of how we must go forward! I would suggest sharing this video with the Harris Campaign, for sooooo many reasons! Beautiful, Maria! Thanks for sharing, Jon!

  2. Oh my Lord, that beautiful laugh of hers and the love you have for her, Jon! Made my heart happy. This was a peek into Maria’s passion and her ability to turn her passion into something beautiful and meaningful. The quilt is already a stunning work of art.
