We had a quiet and beautiful weekend at the farm, as hoped for. We rarely went out or talked to anyone else, and it was sweet. This morning, we returned to our usual routine; Maria was out early tossing the manure around. The heavy rains have absorbed the manure into the pasture soil, which will be great for next year’s grass. Welcome to another week of being grateful for what we have.
My cataract surgery is scheduled for next week.
Jon I hope it goes well. I had no idea how bad my sight had gotten until I had my cataracts done. The whites and blues just popped! I walked around marveling- and I sounded like I had taken a hallucinogen!
I love Maria’s videos. What a beautiful place you guys have – the mountains and fields, the soft noses of the donkeys, those cute little teeth of the sheep, the sunlight that filters through the apple tree – all very grounding and peaceful.
