Thanks but I’ve always been sensitive to the origins of my work, it’s changed quite a bit is the thing. The sensitivity I think has to come first not last. I just never thought to write about it or dared. It felt presumptuous I never thought to quote from OKeeffe before, not until I liked my work enough. I appreciate your noticing .

Thank you for the reminder to look for the beautiful, no matter what. The heat and humidity here in the Midwest has been oppressive as well, and there are times I am so cooked I just can’t cope. Yesterday, I was watering early to beat the heat, and disturbed the tiniest praying mantis – and stopped to watch it slowly clamber away from me. It was just a moment, but it helped me slow down and appreciate nature. Your flower pics help me to appreciate the beauty all around us, if we but look.
