Flower Art, Fantasy Land, A Stroll Through My Imagination. Listening To Flowers, They Have A Lot To Say, Much More Than Pundits In Washington

by Jon Katz

We’ve got company coming. We are getting more social these days. I’ve got to go and help Maria prepare the meal. We’re trying some new things. I love trying new things, especially when I do it with Maria. I’m signing off now. I hope you enjoy these photos, and thanks so much for your kind words about the pictures.

I love being praised but can’t quite get used to it.  Flowers are Troll repellants; they just aren’t coming around anymore. See you in the morning, and thanks so much for supporting the food pantry here. You are doing an awful lot of good.

If you can, please help an elderly woman patron of the Cambridge Food Pantry get some dentures. She asked Sarah to ask the Army of Good for help. It’s the first time she has asked for anything, or anyone asked us specifically for help; she is in her 80s and can’t afford dentures. That touched my heart. It’s what we are about.

You’ll be able to read about how to help here.

  1. You wrote in one place that a lady asked for help getting dentures and in another that a lady asked for denture cream/adhesive cream. Are you asking us to crowdfund a set of dentures for a woman or to purchase and send denture cream from Amazon for the people needing it at the food pantry? Please clarify. Thank you.

    1. As the link says, she is seeking denture adhesive, not a set of dentures. It’s clear to me, but I’m sorry if it isn’t clear to you. Just follow the link; it goes straight to what she needs. Thanks for asking.Sorry if there is any confusion.

The post says, “Today, a first. One of the pantry patrons first asked Sarah to ask me to ask you for help in getting polygraph denture adhesive cream. This is one of those things that is well beneath what the patrons can afford to buy or that most food banks can afford to stock.”

Dentures would cost thousands of dollars; Sarah would never ask for that, and neither would I. The links (two or three) go directly to the denture adhesive she needs. Thanks for caring. I wrote so much and so fast that I made mistakes…I don’t see one here. You can’t buy dentures on Amazon; doctors have to fit them. It’s possible I was fuzzy and corrected it; I don’t recall. I hope this helps you.

  2. Hi Jon and Maria,
I have to say I am Back!! For some reason my computer did not want me getting your wonderful blogs.
I messaged Jon and I know you worked on it for me. But still nothing.
Then out of the blue a couple of weeks ago I got Maria’s blog.
Today was the first time I got the Bedlam Farm blog. To say the least, I am thrilled!
Now my favorite part of my coffee in the morning. Catching up with you two.
    Thanks,
    Jan
