It’s hard to believe, but I still get messages insisting that Zip is an unhappy cat because he can’t sleep in the house every night. Lives move quickly; the Truth moves more slowly but always prevails.

By now, Zip has charmed almost every animal on the farm and, indeed, the humans living here. He and Znnia got off to a tough start. Zinnia started chasing Zip, and the few circled one another.

Zip didn’t give up, and you can see from the very touching photo Maria took this morning that the two are excellent friends who rub their noses, play, say good morning, and cuddle up.

Zip is not your average barn cat, but then Zip is not your average anything. He has indeed turned things upside down on our farm. I see Zip doing things I didn’t realize cats could or wanted to do every day. He doesn’t need a room in the house but a movie agent.
