Start The Day With Beautiful Mornings, Bedlam Farm, May 29, 2024. Paying Attention To Beauty, It’s Right Out The Door

by Jon Katz

I’ve got a lot going on today. My Zoom meeting with blog readers begins at 10 a.m., and I’ve got to start getting organized for our trip to Vermont, beginning Sunday through Wednesday.  I won’t be blogging them; we’re trying to wrap a mini-vacation around the trip. We both are in dire need of a brief vacation.

I’m taking my computer to Vermont to install a new hard drive (gulp), and today, I want to see the truck the Cambridge Pantry is trying to buy. A lot is going on. Tomorrow, I have a meditation class at the Mansion. It’s a season of good. I’m experimenting with my flower photography. So far, so good.

It’s always beautiful to see the animals grazing in deeper grass.

Zip wants to know and see everything that is happening.

This bouquet is made up of wildflowers in the pasture, and the vase was found in an old garbage dump in the woods, where the farmers used to put their garbage.

Begonias are taking hold in the garden bed.

Maria heads out with Zinnia for her daily walk into the woods.

Fate, get the sheep.

  1. Each one of those photos around the farm are poignant. The one where Maria is dwarfed by the landscape is especially heart-moving.
