About The Author, My Grandaughter Robin. “She Writes Books At Age 7: Wow!”

by Jon Katz

Robin is not going to have problems with self-esteem when she gets older. Yesterday, her teachers were raving to her parents about Robin’s writing skills and voice; Robin has written a book or two and was assigned an author’s page:

This is what she wrote:

Robin lives in Brooklyn with their mom, dado, and the dog Sandy. Sandy is super cute and only five years old. Robin is only 7 years old but still writes books! Wow!

I suspect she’ll do okay for herself. I had better get to New York quickly before she had her first bestseller. We seem to have a lot of writers in the family.

The shy author. Hmm…

  1. So wonderful! My five-year-old granddaughter wrote a book and brought it to the library in Maine because she wanted her book available to others at the library. The library and Grace graciously accepted it, and in fact, wrote her a thank you letter, which is framed on her wall.
If Robin offers her book to a library, she may have the same experience. Wonderful to have creative grandchildren.

  2. Any posts about your granddaughter brings a happy smile to my heart!
She’s so stinkin’ cute and smart!

    1. I’m blessed with strong women, including Maria, Emma, and now Robin…I learned years ago to surround myself with strong women and do what they tell me…it has worked for me.
