Color And Light, As Promised. A Spring Day

by Jon Katz

All done for the day. The hamburger meat I left on the stove burned to a crisp and filled the house with smoke. I must do some cleanup; I would hate for Maria to walk into this smelly mess from belly dancing. It’s a mess. I’ve never learned to write and do anything else simultaneously.

Here is the color and light, as promised. It was an intense week; I’m happy the weekend is coming up. We have nothing planned, and I hope to keep it that way. I’ve got some great reading to do.

  1. Hi Jon, Writing is aliveness, and very much of an ‘Here-I-am,-all-of-me’ experience in the flow of it. I too have burned numerous pots while steaming veggies, no less. You’d think the water was protective, but apparently I have gotten lost in the thought and action of writing way beyond my ability to be aware of what’s on the stove. I found a solution, it’s absolutely wonderful. Just a sharing of a solution, in case you’re interested. It’s an Instant Pot! You can throw any interesting combination into it, and the thing will turn itself off! What a blessed invention. It will turn itself off!!!!1 And the food is edible! No more nasty cleanups and ruined kitchen ware! Lots of enjoyable writing! Happy days to you, Jon!
