Maria finished painting the chess board on our dining room table last night. It looks great. We will spend much time there on snowy and cold winter evenings. I think it’s a great idea, go Maria.

All Set. The Painted Chessboard Is Finished And Ready For Play

Ooh, I love the detail of the edging, what a great finishing touch! And the brush strokes in the black squares sort of make it look like marble. Love chess. (One of my all time favorite movies is “Searching for Bobby Fischer” – great story, writing, acting and soundtrack.)
I love the edging and the individuality of the squares. Great job Maria. If I had no other evidence of your creativity except this chess board, I would know that you were an artist. I envy your talent and love all the items that Jon posts. Thank you for sharing the beauty that you create. Even the bridge has its own beauty.
