It’s cold, gloomy, and snowy up there, an actual November day softening us up for winter. Our dogs love our wood stoves, as do we. The heat from the stoves is perfect, just warm enough, even, and comfortable. I looked into the living room and saw all three curled up together, close to the stove’s warmth. When they curl up, they always get into formation – Zinnia on one side, Bud on the other, Fate in the middle.
It’s a sweet and calming photo. I grabbed the camera and got there just in time. Dogs know what to do in nasty weather. They curl up in a warm spot and go to sleep.
Fate at rest is one of my favorite photo albums. She knows how to run; she knows how to rest.
What peaceful picture. I can almost feel the warmth of the fire and here the crackle and pops of the wood.
The photo of Fate at rest – that is so beyond beautiful.
