Winter showed its teeth this morning; it was -16 when we woke up, and the farm was especially beautiful on the crisp, clear morning. The sun appeared in a cloudless sky, and the animals soaked it up. I decided to do a photo journal, hoping to capture the feeling of the first really cold morning since Summer.
I am home today, getting ready for my Mansion Meditation Class tomorrow; the Mansion’s new owners are seeking to give the aides additional training, which is a good sign. I’m bringing more books and colored paper for Christmas decorations tomorrow.
On Friday, Maria and I are visiting Bishop Gibbons with Sue Silverstein and her amazing art students. Come along below and feel the chill.
The sky is especially beautiful in the very coldmornings.
Zip came out to meet me as usual, he seemed unfazed by the cold, like a real barn cat pays no attention to the weather at all.
The first thing I see is the morning sun shining on the frost gathered overnight on the bedroom windows.
Just after sunrise
In the morning, Zip is always waiting for me, usually on the table on the back porch. It’s one of the few times when he is still. The other is when he is on my lap.
You can almost feel the cold, especially when walking outside in your underwear.
Walking outside in your underwear? Brrr…
Difficult to believe …. you are so funny Jon –
It’s just 30 degrees here right now –
glad to get good news about the Mansion’s new owners –
Thanks as always for your awesome photos!
Have a wonderful day – stay indoors and keep warm –
