Color And Light, Perfect On Such A Cold And Gloomy And Snowy Daily. Tonight, Sylvester Stallone

by Jon Katz

P.S. The Sallone documentary “Sly” was pretty bad -repetitive and boring. I bailed out with a half an hour left.

It’s a classic November day, cold, wet, snowy, and dark—perfect for some color and light, as promised.

I have a quiet week. Mansion Meditation tomorrow (things are looking hopeful there) and a dentist appointment (cleaning) tomorrow. I had another “see you in a year” message from a doctor, a dermatologist who got rid of a small non-cancerous growth. She sprayed it with an ice-cold medicine, which would be gone in a few days.

She says my skin looks great; she’ll see me next November.

That’s a lovely string of good news. I wrote a lot today, and I’ll say good night until tomorrow, and thanks for sticking with the blog. For those whose automatic mail is cut off, remember you can always go to www.bedlamfarm if the blog doesn’t and until we can figure it out.

I have to pay each time we have to check or get an e-mail reinstated, and I dont mind doing it as long as I can afford it, but make sure you’ve looked in the trash first; it often ends up there.

I’ve decided to watch the new Netflix documentary on Sylvester Stallone. He’s not someone I would ordinarily be interested in, but the reviews say he is shockingly different from his movie image.

He’s a gifted painter, a dedicated writer, and a thoughtful and gentle soul, says the documentary maker, who has also published a documentary on Bruce Springsteen. I’m a little dubious, but I’ll give it a try. The reviews are all outstanding.

Thanks, jon
