5 November

Farm Journal, Dusk, Sunday, November 5, 2023: The End Of A Beautiful And Meaningful Sunday.

Above is the moment when Zip crashed our yarn video.

He is as shameless as he is fearless. This is enough for today. I’ll pup one flower – I don’t want to forget them,  and then I will start my reading tonight. I didn’t quite get to my perfect hour – the thing I most want to do – but there’s still time.

It is hard work shutting down a Dahlia bush and saving the bulbs for next year. It took Maria several hours, and she’s happy, blogging now for another few hours. This is her idea of resting.

Zinnia was fascinated by Maria’s digging up the Dahlia’s. She loves hanging out with us outside. She and Zip play tag now, chasing each other across the yard.

Fanny loved eating the Dahlia bushes once Maria took the bulbs out and stored them for the winter.

I saw Zip go back into the pasture as we prepared to go inside. More stiffing, more friends.
