It was well below freezing this morning when I went out to catch the sunrise; all of the flowers were gone, and the ground was white with light snow.
The grass is dead also, and the animals are officially on hay until next May. We are considering transporting Minnie’s heated cat house into the barn so Zip can be warm. It isn’t necessary for a young barn cat, but I think he would like it.
He is not coming into the house; he doesn’t want to, and we don’t want him to. We’re very comfortable together, just the way we are.
No more grazing till May of next year. The older sheep get some grain every day. And I’ve found another intriguing British mystery – Professor T on Amazon. Another intelligent and intriguing mystery series.
I absolutely LOVE Professor T!! Are you watching the new one or the older (and I think original) one? Super show as is the Magpie Murders. I will check out Annika as your recommendations are wonderful…
I believe its the new one..
Ooohhh Love Professor T. Love all the Brit mysteries. I will have to get my list together to share with all of you that enjoy watching just in case you may have missed some. We hardly watch regular TV these days. I like the blend of humor here and there and the absence of cursing and all the other negative stuff. My family and I have been big PBS fans since I was a child and because of course, Mr. Rogers was from Pittsburgh. I remember when I was meeting a friend at Carnegie Mellon and Mr. Rogers was walking toward me and I started shouting Mr. Rogers and he gave me a big smile and said, hello, how are you doing today. Made my day.
Here are some off the top of my head: Vienna Blood, Ms. Scarlet and the Duke, Unforgotten, Annika, Shetland, C B Strike, Murdoch, Dr. Blake Mysteries, Inspector Lewis, The Bay, McDonald and Dodd, Vera, River, Silent Witness, Endeavor, Grantchester, Broadchurch, Hinterland, Manhunt, Murder in Provence, Happy Valley, Madame Blanc mysteries, Dalgliesh, that is what I have for now. Happy viewing everyone!
Good idea to provide the heated cat house for Zip. Gives him a chance to check it out before he may need it.
Astrid on PBS is great. Sadly, only two seasons.
There is a Belgium (original) version. Both good.
My husband and I have been watching Professor T on PBS since it first started last year. We enjoy the quirkiness of the show.
Loved Professor T I cant wait for another season. My husband and I are excited for the new season of Annika.
You should check-out “Unforgiven” the old season’s actually had the same female actress that is in Annika 🙂
Will check out Magpie Murders!

Your barn picture is beautiful the way you captured the light. The tree trunks for beams are so intriguing showing the age and build. The way all the webs o er everything makes oh so much more fascinating. I think it would be a great setting for a story.
My over 60 girlfriends and I like Professor T. He’s the kind of failed male that is an expert in one area of life but his weaknesses attract. He is never sadistic. Or mean. Thus, endaring. The show flips plot points — steps in a crime investigation — on their head. Forget determining and verifying the facts: he eyeballs the characters and concludes the puzzle from psychological character alone. Plus he is hilarious. Nice supporting plots and characters.
We also love the Indian male actor in Unforgiven
The Brits are so good at storytelling.
