The Bedlam Farm Dog Treat Committee isn’t only active when I am out of the shower. 3 p.m. is feeding time for the dogs, and say what you will about dogs; they know when it is feeding time; they can tell by the light. When Maria blogs, she is focused, and the outside world vanishes.
Our dogs are very polite; they don’t make a sound. They just wait eagerly.
She didn’t realize she had a rapid audience until she looked up from her computer and said, “It must be time to eat.” They were silent and patient; our dogs knew better than to interrupt us while working. I loved the scene; it says a lot about dogs and people.
My daughter Emma arrives late this afternoon; we’re going to the Albany station to pick her up. She wants to help while I’m healing, I’m glad she’s coming.
