Flower Art For Tonight: Fixing The Donation Snafus

by Jon Katz

I want to thank all the good people trying to support my blog every month via Facebook or PayPal. Some got through; some were rejected. We’ve figured out the problem, and Jamie from Mannix Marketing and I got on the phone with Facebook this afternoon. It took a few days, but we figured it out.

It seems their policies changed, and to accept new donors, I have to approve one time in advance, something I didn’t know. This resets the software and makes all of those donations possible.

We got through today and authorized the new donations, but it may take a few days before it goes into effect. Please be patient and try again once I give the go-ahead on my blog. The new donation month options – $5, $10, $15, $20, and $y5 (yearly) got a strong and positive response.

Thanks to the blog reader who suggested it, I forgot her name.

This is an essential step for me; it provides my readers with plenty of affordable options and will help stabilize the income that makes the blog secure and keeps it growing. I work hard on the blog and appreciate being paid for my work.

Unfortunately, several people were rejected. I hope you won’t give up, and thanks for your patience. I’ll post on the blog when the approval e-mail comes through to me.

I’m not working anymore today; I’ve been writing for much of the day. I’ve got to rest to help my vertigo go away. I’ve got a new Ava Glass spy novel to read and a Hercule Poirot mystery to watch. I’ve spent the afternoon with Maria, her mother died this morning, and I wanted to be available for her.

She does it for me all the time; I am happy to do it for her.
