Big Storm Coming, I’m Shutting Down. Here Are Four Storm Flowers In The Meantime

by Jon Katz

Zip is settling in; we love him already. He is a special cat, alert, sweet, independent, and loves posing for photos. How great is that? Ugly storm warnings are coming in fast, so I will shut down my computer and help Maria batten down the farm for high winds, lightning, and driving rain.

I have no time to write more, so hopefully I’ll talk to you in the morning. Some heavy limbs have already fallen on our fences by the side of the house; I’ve got to get out and look. The wind is wild. So is the rain.

  1. In Eastern Canada they use burlap ( like grain or coffee bags) to wrap plants of all kinds in inclimate weather as it’s a sturdy protection against winds and rain and stuff. Just an idea.
