Bedlam Farm Photo Journal, Sunday September 3, 2023. Color, Light, Rest. Honest.

by Jon Katz

I’m under strict orders today to rest every time I blog. This is for brain bleed recovery. I’m resolved to be doing what I am told. I am determined to post these beautiful photos I took today and then rest and read this afternoon. If I can, I’ll blog again after dusk. Unless I’m told not to, enjoy the photos if you can.

  1. So glad to have you back, Jon. You and your pictures would have been sorely missed. Follow all directions and get well again soon.

  2. thinking of you every day Jon……and know you are a healing path! Your photos just slay me at times…….. selfishly saying that the deep purple lisianthus is my absolute favorite…… it screams *look at me*! And interesting on the first pick of the deep burgundy dahlia? the first thing I saw (at least I believe I did) is a small pinkish insect perching on one of the green serrated leaves……my eye went to it immediately. Ah, the minds eye is an interesting thing- so different for everyone. Continue well on your healing journey!

  3. Beautiful flower and farm photos, John.
You take flower photography to a way high level!!
I’d love to see your gardens at Bedlam Farm in person!! Probably won’t be able to so your photos are the best substitute.
