Fred the pigeon is a thing now, I guess. I came outside this morning to check out the flowers and the sky (it rained all night). As soon as I entered the yard, Fred appeared on the corner of the barn, where he usually is.
I moved closer to him, but he didn’t move. I said good morning, and he looked at me. I went into the house, and he flew off. I’m not sure what is happening. I’ve never felt Fred and didn’t even notice him for a while.
The flowers were gleaming with raindrops.
The drops caught my eye.
Maria is the portrait subject of a thousand faces. I took this shot of her coming out of the barn with some hay in her arms. It was slightly out of focus, and I liked that. Life is not as literal as digital cameras can be.
maria reminds me of a film star////foreign, mysterious, sacred, kind
