Hail The Army Of Good. You’ve Done It Again. The Wish List Packages Have Started Arriving At Bishop Gibbons. Next, Wooden Picture Frames!

by Jon Katz

Yesterday I was delighted to announce that Bishop Gibbons  2023 Amazon Art Program Wish List had sold out in just a few hours. Thank you. Today, Sue Silverstein sent me this photograph of the first packages to the high school by Fedex and UPS. Many more – most – are on the way.

Sue sent me this message:

Things are coming! It’s so wonderful of people. I truly love the notes they send me too. I feel like I know so many of them now.

That’s the real Sue, genuine, grateful, and eager to talk to people. She wanted me to thank you, and I want to thank you. I’m not as nice as Sue, but I love Sue very much, making me very happy. She will put your generosity to great purpose. I’ll ensure you see the results of the art supplies you sent.

(Sue is looking for old or discarded wooden picture frames to turn into looms to make clothes and fabrics into art.  Please send old and discarded or forgotten wooden picture frames to Sue Silverstein, Bishop Gibbons High School, 2600 Albany Street, Schenectady, New York, 12304. And thanks.
