Maria finished the preliminary sketching for two new potholders she is planning to put up for sale on her Etsy Page sometime next week.
They are special. She just gets better and better.
I knew she was pleased with them by the very excited look when she showed them to me, which she never does until and unless she loves them.
I see why.
She is making five Raven Potholders and Five Turtle Potholders.
I don’t know how much they cost or when they will go on sale.
They are remarkable; she has worked hard and long on these to get them right.
Maria spent more than a year working on her raven design; she has been hanging out with turtles and toads all summer.
She usually agrees to put them aside for people who want them; you can contact her by e-mail at [email protected] or follow her progress on her blog, www.fullmoonfiberart.com.
I love previewing her work; it’s exciting and makes me feel useful and supportive. These two strike me as remarkable a landmark for her.
The Raven has become an important symbol for us; I think it’s not the official symbol of Bedlam Farm, but the Raven has become vital to me.
Below are two closer looks at the sketching; She is still designing the potholders. This is a fantastic start. She says they will go on sale sometime next week. I know she won’t show me the final result until they are finished and she is completely satisfied with them.

And five Turtle potholders.
The new Bedlam Farm symbol. A Raven talks us every morning from the maple tree outside of the bedroom.
Love your raven mentor you placed in the tree! Did you have a chance to preview the book, This here Flesh, by the young female black writer, Cole Arthur Riley? Published by Convergent Books it is very creative and compelling. 🙂
