It was pouring all morning; it eased up before noon.
We drove down to the Moses Farm Stand – they have corn out for sale – and Judy told me she had two beautiful Lisianthus Plants waiting for me to take home to the garden bed. I was thrilled, these are my favorite photos to photograph, the most beautiful ones I’ve seen yet, and Judy has a greenhouse and has sold me some of my most beautiful flowers.
These are perennials; they will go to Maria’s garden when mine has to be taken down in the late Fall. I love photographing these flowers and one or two new ones (and one or two soaking wet ones).
More rain tomorrow; it was better today (so far) than we expected.
It is supposed to rain again tonight and tomorrow. In the morning, I’m going into Saratoga Springs to get my new brace, which is exciting and long-awaited—a big day for sure. I’ve been waiting for this for several years.
Maria is coming along with me; she wants to learn how to strap the new brace. So do I, although I can’t reach all of it myself.
I was delighted to photograph the first “black pearl” Lisianthus plant (above) and others. I did some art photography with my big lens and will post some after dinner later this evening.
Here are the flower stories of today.
The new “Echo Mix” Lisianthus.
A flower soaked in the morning deluge.
Another wet flower, just after the rain stopped.
A second Lisianthus.
I bought this flower from Judy at the Moses stand; I wrote down the name but lost it in the rain.
I got this plant earlier in the week; it wasted no time speaking up.
Beautiful, Jon!
The Echo-Mix photo shows both pale fragile beauty AND power and strength. Lovely to look at. Thank you.
Thanks, Anne, my favorite flower photo subject..
Stunning work! Thank you.
