This morning when Maria went to the pond, she made a new friend, a big Leopard Frog who wasn’t the least big fearful of her. Something about Maria makes animals feel safe – birds, frogs, bugs, sheep and donkeys and dogs.

One of these days, she’ll invite a frog home for dinner. This gives her much joy, and I get much joy from seeing it.
