Bedlam Morning, June 27, 2023, Sun And Storms. Grazing With Sheep

by Jon Katz

It’s back and forth, sun one minute, downpours, and lightning the next. I walked out into the pasture to take donkey photos (I’ll put them up shortly) and brought three apples, one for Lulu, one for Fanny, and one for me. We all crunched them happily together. Food is one of the ways you can always talk to donkeys.

Above is my signature morning photo; notice the Imperious hens marching in the middle.

I’m off to the Mansion shortly for my meditation class; more later. The storms are coming soon; my poor garden beds are battered. I hung out with the sheep and then the donkeys. I’m doing another donkey art spread.

The farmers are going to need some dry days to harvest the hay. Even without climate change, farmers are rarely happy about the weather.

Robin is curious, perhaps looking for food.

The morning sky was blue; it’s getting darker by the minute. Storms predicted.

The rain has brought up a lot of rich green grass, the sheep are very happy, and the sky is very beautiful in this volatile, uncertain weather.
