I’m leaving shortly for our two-day anniversary celebration this morning and returning l Sunday afternoon. I always miss writing on my precious blog, but I also recognize that we sometimes need a vacation from one another.
And Maria and I badly need some rest, peace, and quiet. We are both excited about the trip.
I won’t be blogging or bringing any technology. I have two great books to read and a wonderful wife to go with.
The featured photo above is called “Soul of a Peone.”
We love the Inn, and we go there regularly. Daniel Webster, Ulysses Grant, Paul Newman, and Ralph Waldo Emerson stayed here while traveling.
We’ve come to the Inn every year since we got married 14 years ago. It is quiet, beautiful, and very private.
I’m putting these art flower photos up as a thank-you to the many flower picture lovers out there. I’m happy to be taking a break, but I didn’t want to leave people without some flowers. I really liked these and saved them for last. I hope you enjoy them, and I thank you for loving them.
This floral journey has greatly enriched my life and stimulated my creativity and photography, which has become important to me. I’ll see you on Sunday.

I love the flower photos, especially the “art” photos. I’m not a camera person so don’t really understand the techniques but keep doing whatever you are doing! I find them captivating! Thank you for sharing them every day.
