Our beautiful purple iris is beginning to fade. I hope we can find another one at the next farmer’s market. I loved taking pictures of it. We should be okay for the summer if we get through the frost wave tomorrow. We’ll cover our plants with tarpaulins.
Flowers, like farms, are constantly dying and being reborn. I love to catch the buds. Flowers live well and die well. This flower show is free; it is produced by my Iphone 13 and my Leica.
Life and death. Here’s life above.
I want to follow the purple iris for as long as she lives, which won’t be for too long.
I’m not sure what these are, but they stand out beautifully. Good night all; see you in the morning. I have a dentist appointment and might be out of action until noon.
welcomed flower pics as always! Irises are ornate, delicate and beautiful…but short lived. I believe the bottom orange/gold flowers are marigolds……….. doesn’t matter……beautiful and bright, which is the point! thanks for sharing!

The bottom photo is indeed marigolds, and they’re great for companion planting as they keep away a myriad of pests from your other plants. I love their cheery colors and that spicy fragrance.
