Matt Ross, our farrier, came today to trim the donkeys’ hooves and help Fanny with two abscesses (photos to come). We locked the sheep out of the Pole Barn, and they took it in stride and spread out around the apple tree.

Yesterday we had to wrap chicken wire around the tree to keep the sheep and the donkeys from gnawing on the bark. This is a lovely sight, calming and iconic.
