Folasade’s tuition is paid for. So are the room and board fees enabling her to live in a college dormitory. I thank our two generous donors for that.
It’s been a great week for good.
I am now seeking support for her personal expenses – clothes, books, room furnishings, entertainment.
I’m hoping for $3,000 (I’ve already received $500, and she will make do with whatever we can raise. (She’s definitely going to Sienna now).
This is something I chose to do, not something she asked for. I’m meeting with her tomorrow at Bishop Gibbons High School.
People who wish to donate can do so via Paypal, [email protected], Venmo, Jon-Katz@Jon-Katz-13, or by check, Jon Katz Folasade Expenses Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816. These donations are not tax deductible.
I will post this appeal daily until she has what she needs or comes close. She’s leaving in August.
This starts a lifetime and much-deserved journey for Folasade, whose family is from Nigeria and the Caribbean.
A top student at her high school, she intends to be a doctor to repay the help she has received.
Thanks again for your support. She is well worth it.
She deserves all the help she gets. I so commend you for making this happen for her. What would she have done without you?
I just can’t wait to see “Doctor” ahead of her name. Her whole family will benefit greatly.
Thanks, Steve I appreciate this message, we raised $700 yesterday for her expenses and personal needs…$2,000 to go…She’s worth it…
