Today is a big day at Bishop Gibbons. It’s college choice day when the students get to pick their colleges. We’ve been helping these kids for some time now, and this is a gratifying time.
It’s been raining intermittently for several days; my blue sky appeared late this morning, and the color seemed to return.
I’ve learned that my mood is closely connected to the color all around me. It was great to see the color come back after a gray weekend. I went out to capture a Pansie sunrise in the morning, and it was still raining.
The spring so far, like the weather so far, is unpredictable, moody, spectacular, and compelling, all at the same time. This morning was like that.
I am delighted to have read several of your books. The most recent one was Dog Days. I became acquainted with your donkeys. My daughter became a donkey wrangler for Circus Smirkus several years ago. When they “retired” Figaro and Jiminy by passing them around to volunteers who gave them an existence, but not a life, we bought them and have been their permanent home for years now. They are wonderful animals and I appreciate everything that you can do to erase the falsehoods about them being “just hay burners”. They have a bigger purpose in supporting people.
