Fate At Sleep

by Jon Katz

People always ask me why I don’t write books about the farm, my life, or animals. It’s hard to describe how much publishing has changed since I started writing books.

It’s also challenging to explain that I am writing a book, hopefully, the best yet in my writing life. It’s called the Bedlam Farm Journal, better known as http://www. bedlamfarm.com.

If I could publish a book now (forget about it), I’d probably propose a book of photos of Fate, one of the most active dogs on the earth, resting. She always does it differently; something is always iconic and touching about it. When she sleeps, she’s a contortionist. And she knows how to relax, something she cannot do in the daytime.
