With my foot improving (my brace) and about to get even better, Maria and I have started doing farm chores together again, making us very happy. I couldn’t help much for the past year or two, but I’m just about back in form. Yes, I am losing a toe next week.

One mistake we made when we built the pole barn was to allow this hideous sheet of plastic to go along one side. That has always bothered me. This weekend, Maria and I agreed to plan a change; we will take down the plastic, toss it out, and replace it with lumber that we will paint red.
We were in a big rush when we built the Pole Barn; I’m excited. First we have to order some lumber and nails, details to follow. I’m off to the cardiologist for my surgery clearance. I’ll be very happy to get rid of this plastic, no good fit on a 200-year-old barn.
