Lulu was in a good mood this morning; she offered me the privilege of scratching her nose and neck and offering her some alfalfa treats.

As the weather improves, I’m returning to my morning ritual of communing with donkeys, one of the great moments of spirituality open to me.

Donkeys are the most spiritual animals I have ever encountered.

My brace and the weather have returned a sweet ritual – a morning visit to the animals.
