Mansion Art, Mansion Pretty. Seeking Help To Get The Last Tablecloth Set In Our Campaign To Brighten The Dining Room

by Jon Katz

Maria went to the Mansion today to teach her art class. The task was to paint vases with flowers in them, and Maria’s goal was to loosen them up, and play with the paint not to be afraid to make a mistake. She said she was only partially successful; they are used to following set patterns and procedures. They often get nervous straying or trying something different.

The color and feeling are evident; the residents love her classes. She is loosening them up.

Dining Room Tablecloth Help: Up to now, I’ve purchased three new sets of table clothes to replace the grim ones that were on the tables.

This is a long-running project; it’s taken a couple of years;  the residents and staff, are very grateful.

We are only one tablecloth set (12 tables) to have what we need to brighten the meals, rotate the tablecloths, and tie them into the seasons – green leaves for spring, flowers for summer, leaves for autumn, bright things for Christmas.

I’ve added plastic covers to the program to preserve the colors and the table clothes.

These brighter tablecloths have lightened up the dining areas, you can feel the brightness. I hope we can finish this project. The residents have thanked me again an again.

I could use some help- between $400 and $500. Small donations could finish this, as well as a few larger ones. You can donate via Paypal, [email protected], or Venmo, Jon Katz-Jon-Katz-13. You can also donate by check, Jon Katz, Mansion Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.

The tablecloth above is the last one on my list of tablecloths to complete our new collection, all are coming with plastic covers. It’s more expensive than the others, but well worth it, I think.

These new tableclothes mean a lot to the residents, and also to the kitchen staff, who really care about brightening the dining quarters and are very happy with this plan.

We are close, I hope you can help me finish it off. As always, any overage, if there is any overage, will go to the Mansion Funds to help the residents with personal needs as Spring aproaches.

Thank you
