My granddaughter Robin, who is six, is coming to visit the farm once more the week after next for a weekend. She may be bringing another one of her paintings; I hope so.
One is on the wall already. In her art class, the assignment was to find a way to capture the look and feel of a jellyfish.
So she made her first 3-D piece of art, a combination of painting and craft. I better get some paint supplies.
Wow!!
Not only does Robin appear to be a gifted young artist, kudos to the teacher who did more than say ‘draw a tree’ or ‘draw your favorite pet.’
Wow, that girl is the real deal. I have zilch fine art talent but my nieces and nephews, you could see from a young age they had real talent. Like Robin, you framed and hung their art “for real”
How lovely she will have Maria to help support her as an artist, a nice connection for your family.
Jon, i agree wholeheartedly with all of the above AND no need to go to the MET or to Florence, ITALY – we can just enjoy Robin’s ART !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best depiction of jellyfish ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Iope she gets to experience the bonanza of projects at sue Silverstein’s art rooms someday…she would have a blast,
“Oh look, jellyfish by a talented 12th grader in Sue Silverstein’s class, using vintage clothing parts. No wait — What? This was crafted by a SIX year old?” The color choice and composition show such pleasant balance. The beads capture the gentle sweep and flow of the water. This will be quite a visit!
That is an awesome depiction of jellyfish! Yeah Robin a budding young artist!
I am continually nonplussed at Robin’s artistic brain and skills! WOW! Thank you for sharing!

wow ! Love Robin’s jellyfish. Some imagination !.
Wow!
I am a retired art teacher (do artists really retire?). Believe me…Robin’s artwork is beyond her years! Brilliant!
This is absolutely amazing! Robin’s art teacher must be loving her!
Robin’s work is outstanding! I am blown away!
