My granddaughter Robin, who is six, painted this cat in an art class and when I told her I loved it, she surprised me by sending it to me for Valentine’s Day.
I do love it. I took it outside to take a photo of it in the afternoon sun. We just hung it on the dining room wall. I hoped to see Robin and Emma when we went to the Edward Hopper exhibit at the Whitney Museum in New York City.
I won’t be able to make it; the doctor says I have to avoid long walks until I get used to my new foot brace and the callous is conquered.
Grandparents are never objective when it comes to their grandchildren, but I am impressed by Robin’s work in her art class. It is perhaps too early to say this, but I sense another creative popping up in the family.
Jon, I can’t even find the words – another spectacular masterpiece. Better than Dali.
Wow. I’d start collecting her work now. 6 years old !!??
